A Decade
Today is the 31st anniversary of my first days of wine and honey with the person I married. So it's been more like, um, three decades . . . but who's counting?
A Decade
When you came, you were like red wine
and honey,
And the taste of you burnt my mouth
with its sweetness.
Now you are like morning bread,
Smooth and pleasant.
I hardly taste you at all for I know your
savour,
But I am completely nourished.

and honey,
And the taste of you burnt my mouth
with its sweetness.
Now you are like morning bread,
Smooth and pleasant.
I hardly taste you at all for I know your

But I am completely nourished.

Happy anniversary then. :)
Happy anniversary, that is so nice.
Aw I like that poem. And congrats on 31 years together.
That's a lovely poem, thanks for sharing. And happy anniversary!
A very happy anniversary to you!
Happy Anniversary! That's quite an accomplishment.
That's a beautiful poem. Congrats on 31 years and here's to many more!
What a lovely poem. Happy anniversary!
Gorgeous poem and congratulations to you and Mr. Necromancy.
A very happy anniversary to you both. 31 years? What, did you meet in kindergarten?
Thank you all for the good wishes! Harriet, we met in my first year of college. Today is the anniversary of when we decided to get married, not our actual wedding, which took place a few years later.
Happy anniversary! 31 years is exactly how long I've been alive. A long time, I mean. Congratulations!
Ella, I knew I was showing my age! Thanks.
Congrats on such a long and successful marriage! That poem is wonderful and so accurate (even though I'm only at 8 years so far).
