Blogger, do I know how to quit you?
I'm thinking about it. There's a Wordpress version of this blog (thanks to Lass and Amanda and most especially Anna from Diary of an Eccentric), and I'm going to run both concurrently for a little while and see which one wins. If you have an opinion, let me know. If I switch to Wordpress, I'll let you know.

Because I read your blog on an iPod touch, the WordPress version is much more convenient, since it automatically shows up in a mobile format. Whereas in Blogger, I'm constantly fighting with the formatting.
Hugh, then you'll be happy while I run them concurrently, at least. I'm still figuring out how to transfer all the auxiliary stuff; the posts and comments seem to have copied well.
What does WordPress offer that blogger doesn't? I've seen people switching, but I get along with blogger fairly well, so I've wondered.
The main thing WP has that blogger doesn't is a mechanism for replying to comments. Over there, I could reply to you directly, instead of specifying you and putting it wherever it comes in the lineup of comments.
It also has more of the functions I used to get from Blogger and no longer do, like the ability to change the colors on the blog and filter spam better.
I personally love Wordpress much more than Blogger. I made the switch last September and never regretted it. I did go with a self-hosted Wordpress site instead of the Wordpress.com site but I think both are worthwhile. And personally, I prefer visiting Wordpress sites as they show up better on my iPad (their mobile version is AWESOME) and well, they just aren't Blogger!! ; )
Since I use Wordpress, it's easier for me to comment on the Wordpress version. But whatever you decide is totally fine.
So far it seems the folks who use Blogger don't care, and the folks who use Wordpress and/or mobile devices like the idea of a switch. Hmmm.
Power to you Jeanne if you can do both at once. It's all I can do to get a post up most days. I started out on blogger and I just didn't find it to be as navigable as some of the other systems. Good luck!
I only managed to run both for a couple of days; I've switched to Wordpress completely now.
