Pride and Prejudice: Punching Bag of the Moment

We can't even call this one a "sequel:"

Elton John's film company, Rocket Pictures, has announced plans for a movie called Pride and Predator, in which aliens wreak havoc in the world of Elizabeth and Darcy.

What is it about Pride and Prejudice that's attracting all the weirdos lately?

    This was my favorite story in the Times this morning. I love it when truth is stranger than fiction. I'm also a little sorry that I didn't think of a Jane Austen zombie movie first.
